Adobe brings 70+ tools from Photoshop, Illustrator and more to Slack

Adobe brings 70+ tools from Photoshop, Illustrator and more to Slack

Adobe has announced an integration that brings over 70 tools from its flagship creative applications into Slack, the workplace messaging platform owned by Salesforce. The supported apps include Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro, covering a broad range of image editing, vector design, and video production capabilities - all accessible without switching out of the Slack environment.

The core mechanic relies on Slackbot as the interface. Users can prompt the bot with creative requests - such as removing a background, adjusting colors, or applying edits to an asset - and the underlying Adobe tooling handles the task. This positions Slack less as a place to share finished files and more as an active workspace where creative work can be initiated and iterated on conversationally.

For teams that already coordinate creative projects inside Slack, the practical appeal is straightforward. Reducing context-switching between a chat tool and a separate desktop application can compress feedback-and-revision cycles, particularly for lighter editing tasks that do not require a full session inside Photoshop or Illustrator. Adobe has been pushing its AI-assisted editing features - grouped under the Firefly brand - across its product line, and integrations like this one extend that reach into third-party surfaces where creative teams already spend significant time.

The broader trend here is one of creative software vendors embedding their tools into collaboration platforms rather than expecting all work to happen inside dedicated applications. Whether the Slack integration covers the depth of tooling that professionals need for serious production work remains to be seen, but for quick edits and team-facing tasks, having 70-plus Adobe tools a prompt away is a meaningful addition to the Slack ecosystem.
