Claude can now generate animated explainer videos and live data dashboards from text prompts

Anthropic has added two new beta capabilities to Claude, extending the assistant's output beyond text and static documents into live data visualizations and animated video. The features - Dashboards and Motion - represent a notable broadening of what Claude can produce directly from a conversation.

Dashboards allows Claude to connect to enterprise data warehouses such as BigQuery and Snowflake and generate interactive, live dashboards from plain text prompts. Rather than requiring a user to manually configure a visualization tool or write queries, Claude handles the translation from natural language to a working dashboard that updates with the underlying data. This kind of integration could reduce the friction between raw data and usable reporting, particularly for teams that lack dedicated business intelligence staff.

Motion takes a different direction, letting users generate animated explainer videos by providing text descriptions and images. Animated explainer content has traditionally required either specialized software or outsourced production work, so a text-prompt approach lowers the barrier considerably for teams producing educational or product-focused material. The quality and flexibility of the output will be worth watching as the feature moves through beta.

Alongside these new additions, Anthropic confirmed that three existing tools - Docs, Slides, and Design - are now available across all account tiers, including free users. Previously limited in access, opening these features to everyone signals that Anthropic is using its productivity suite as a way to compete more broadly with established document and presentation tools, while also giving a wider audience a reason to stay within the Claude ecosystem.
